The Vreeland Store has a rich history. The building dates back to the 19th century, the current restaurant was opened by the Lanza family in 2013 after they renovated the historic building. Over the years, the Vreeland Store has been a significant part of the local community. It has served various roles, including a general store and a post office, before undergoing restoration as a full-service Cafe, Bar & Inn.
The interior of the restaurant reflects its historical roots with exposed wooden beams, vintage decor, and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. It’s beautifully decorated with lovely antique furniture, with artifacts, old postcards, photographs, and newspaper clippings lining the walls. This blend of history and comfort makes dining there a unique experience.
The Vreeland Store is a full-service restaurant, bar, bakery, & inn, located in a historic general store, It's a place where you can get everything from a great cup of Stumptown coffee to craft beer. The American style Cafe menu features a variety of casual breakfast, lunch, and dinner items consisting mostly of baked goods, omelets, French toast, pancakes, salads, sandwiches. They are committed to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, this focus on quality and local produce is a nod to its community-oriented roots.
There is outdoor seating during the warm months, though service is limited to placing your order at the counter, they will bring the food and drinks out to you.
On selected nights there is live music.
Parking is plentiful.
The Vreeland store is open five days/week, Wednesday to Sunday for breakfast and lunch, in addition to dinner Thursday to Saturday. They are open on Thanksgiving and offer take-out service
They do not accept reservations; seating is on a first come first serve basis.
