Veganized is one of the top vegan, organic restaurants in Middlesex County.
Located a block from the Amtrak Train Station, it’s very popular with Rutgers students and visitors who love vegan food and come to New Brunswick for its many entertainment events.
Executive Chef Ron Biton owns and operates the restaurant. He received his formal vegan cooking training at the Natural Gourmet Institute in NYC and later honed his skills at several NYC restaurants before opening a Veganized Restaurant in New Brunswick.
Chef Biton presents a well-prepared, creative menu using fresh, made-from-scratch ingredients. The menu is 100% vegan, 100% natural, and 95% organic. The use of cashew and other nut-based cheeses, mushrooms, and vegetable pure results in his dishes being both tasty and colorful.
The restaurant is small and set on two levels. It has a clean look and a casual, funky, hippie ambiance. The counter is downstairs with seating for four, and the upstairs main dining room has seating for 30. The decorations are funky, with colorful murals, plates, and walls adorned with portraits.
During the warmer months, there is outdoor dining on the upstairs balcony.
Wait service is available upstairs, though you have to go downstairs to pay for your meal.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Veganized is open 7 days a week. For lunch and dinner.
Limited street parking, though public parking is nearby.
