Cape May Stage is a non-profit organization that has dedicated the theater to thespian Robert Shackleton, a popular Broadway actor in the '40s and '50s who vacationed in Cape May as a young man. This 1853 historic structure is now a state-of-the-art theatre and is known to residents and visitors "as the jewel in the crown of Cape May's architectural gems". This beautifully restored building has 124 seats set up in stadium design.
