Seasons Coal Fired Bistro is located in a modest strip mall. Once inside, the ambiance is appealing, with the bar area and main dining room being open.
The restaurant is owned and operated by brothers Jerry and Joe Duhigg. The brothers come from a family with long service in the restaurant industry having previously owned the Seasons Sports Bar in Edison, NJ
The bar area, with large flat-screen satellite TVs, has a large area for table seating. The crowd at the bar tends to be in their 40s and 50s, and the dining room is popular with families with kids.
The main dining area decor is attractive, with walls and flooring in soft earth tones and large tiles covering the floor. The tables have marble tops set with paper napkins and wrought iron-backed chairs.
They offer a menu of coal-fired pizzas, pasta entrees, meats, seafood, salads, and sandwiches.
Their specialty is their pizza cooked in a coal-fired oven at 800 degrees. It's one of the best ways (second to wood burning) to cook pizza. The thin, crusted pizza comes out in minutes, producing a tasty, slightly charred crust. The pies are traditional and offered in Personal (12"), medium (14"), and large (16") sizes.
The Mezza Luna Sandwiches are flatbread sandwiches, also coal-oven baked and folded in the shape of a half-moon and filled with various meats and cheeses.
The wait staff is friendly and attentive.
Seasons is kid-friendly with a children's menu.
During the warmer months, there is outdoor dining on the patio.
