Rasoi is one of the top Indian restaurants in Jersey City.
Located in the "India Square" section, Rasoi serves Northern-style Indian fare, easily accessible by the PATH and buses.
Their dishes are high in quality, and reasonably priced with a good variety including many vegetarian choices served in large portions.
A nice touch is that they serve a lemon slice, and a raw onion along with green chutney and pickles as a complimentary accompaniment, and will tailor the food to your preference of spiciness .
They offer a good Lunch Buffet.
The decor is attractive with an East Indian ambiance complete with comfortable booths and attractive carpeting. The interior features background Indian music, art work, and decorations.
If you can take the slow service, the wait is worth it.
If you are in the neighborhood, Rasoi has delivery service. It's generally a 45- 50 minute wait but on busy weekends it can take as long as 1 1/2 hours. You can order on-line at the above web site.
Parking is difficult, but parking spaces can be found on side streets several blocks away.
Rasoi is open seven days/week for lunch and dinner.
