Poached Pear Bistro, located in a strip mall, one of the top restaurants in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ.

The 95-seat restaurant is owned and operated by Chef Scott Giordano, provides an imaginative, eclectic American menu in a welcoming, modern upscale, yet casual environment.

Chef Scott Giordano, a New Jersey native, comes with excellent credentials. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, he honed his culinary skills as Sous Chef with Chef Hans Egg at the Saddle River Inn in Saddle River. He later moved on to be Executive Chef at The Park Restaurant in Park Ridge. Before opening the Poached Pear Bistro, he served as Executive Chef at Whispers Restaurant in Spring Lake.

Chef Giordano uses fresh ingredients and influences from his Italian heritage to create imaginative American dishes. As an example, Chef Giordano is known for the flavorful blending of "pears" into most of his dishes, from appetizers to desserts.

The dining area has a modern, comfortable look with dark wood floors, a geometric patterned recessed ceiling, and neutral, gray-toned walls adorned with colorful artwork. Dark wood furnishings are added with tables set without linen coverings to complement the modern look.

During the warmer months, there is outdoor seating for another 22.

They are child-friendly with a "Little Pears” menu available for kids under age 12.

Parking is available along Arnold Avenue and in the lot behind the restaurant.

The Poached Pear Bistro is open for dinner six days/a week, Closed on Mondays.
