The Peasant Grill, Hopewell, NJ: A Restaurant Review

The Peasant Grill continues to be a local favorite.

The food is fresh, well-executed, and creatively prepared, using fresh ingredients. A variety of Healthy, Vegan, and gluten-free options are available.

This is a casual counter-service restaurant. You order at the counter, and your food is delivered to your table.

They offer a variety of excellent, well-executed and artfully presented sandwiches, soups, salads, (entrees after 4 p.m.), and homemade desserts. They also have a case with options for quick take-out meals.

Both Barry and Michelle run the kitchen, and Michelle specializes in creating excellent desserts. There are large windows that look into the bakery kitchen where customers can stop by to look in and watch Michelle Klein and the staff at work.

There is spacious seating, many windows, wood, and attractive wall trimmings. A communal table is also available for local groups.

On-site parking is available. In the warmer months, there is outdoor seating.

The couple has created a friendly, welcoming atmosphere with excellent service.

The Peasant Grill is open six days/a week for lunch and dinner, Monday-Saturday. Closed Sundays
