Question: Are There Any Beaches in New Jersey to have a Bonfire With a permit?
Answer: New Jersey beaches and towns have very restrictive ordinances against having Bonfires on beaches.
However, Belmar allows bonfires and picnics on the beach in a designated area. An application for a permit and approval by the Borough Fire official is required. The permit imposes many limitations, conditions, and restrictions for use of the beach for bonfires and picnics. The designated beach area lies between the foot of First Avenue and the high water mark of Shark River and the Atlantic Ocean. Question: First Time in AC. We have never been to AC and are planning a weekend stay, though we are not big gamblers, we plan to do some gambling and was wondering if it makes sense for us to get a comp card and will we be able to immediately enjoy any perks?
Answer: Yes. Definitely sign up for a card if you are doing any gambling. You may earn enough comp dollars to pay towards a meal. If nothing else you may receive offers of comp or discounted rooms for future visits.
Question: What is the best way to get to Atlantic City and the Casino Hotels from NYC without Driving?
Answer: Greyhound buses from the New York City (Port Authority Bus Terminal) offers the most direct & frequent service to Atlantic city. The Greyhound Lucky Streak Bus Service buses provides front-door service to many of the most popular casinos in Atlantic City. If you are not staying at one of the popular casinos, the Jitney minibus shuttle is available to/from the Atlantic City Bus Terminal to all the hotels. The Bus Terminal is adjacent to The Atlantic City Outlets and is a two or three (long) blocks from Caesars and the Atlantic City Convention Center.
Question: Planning A NJ Beach Vacation With A Mini Trip to NYC. My family would like to go on a beach vacation in New Jersey with a side trip to NYC. What is the best way to travel from the shore to NYC that is not expensive? Also, what beach would be our best bet to stay at for this?

The trip to NYC is approximately 1 1/2 hours by car or train.
If you plan on splitting your trip and staying in NYC, this can become very expensive as NYC hotels are costly, especially if you are taking your car with very pricey parking fees.

Question: Crabbing in NJ. We are planning to go crabbing. What do we need to know and what are the best spots?
Answer: Crabs can be caught from a rental row boat using a drop line or a scoop net along the bay dock pilings, or with a net and bait along the side of a creek, Less popular but very effective is trotlining.
