Formerly the Inn of the Hawke, now under new management since the summer of 2022 and rebranded The Hawke, is located a 10-minute walk from the main downtown section in a charming circa 1860s, 6-room small hotel.

Now owned and operated by brothers Tony and Joseph Vitella of the Metro Restaurant Group, which also owns and operates several excellent restaurants in NJ, including the Metro Grill in Ewing and Metro North in Princeton.

The Hawke is a great spot to celebrate a special occasion, especially a romantic or date night. One of the dining rooms features a fireplace, a nice touch during the colder months.

The menu features an excellent selection of well-executed preparations of aged, prime-cut steaks, seafood, and traditional American entrees and appetizers.

An attraction during warmer summer months is outdoor dining on the garden patio, shaded by four 100-year-old sycamore trees. The patio is heated with patio heaters during cooler spring and fall months.

The Interior is upscale and modern, contemporary, yet charming. The walls are shades of grey and tan mixed with faux brick. Tables are spaced close together and set with linen. With poor acoustics, the noise level can get loud for quiet conversation.

Complimentary valet parking is available. On busy weekend evenings, the lot fills up fast
