This year, American Dream celebrates the National Education Association’s Read Across America Day with a fun-filled hour of storytelling, craft activities and giveaways for children ages four to ten.
Leading the Read-Aloud will be New Jersey
Family magazine’s Editorial Director, Dina El Nabli, who will read Breathing Makes it Better by Christopher Willard and Wendy O'Leary. This sweet story teaches children how to navigate powerful emotions like anger, fear, sadness, confusion, anxiety, and loneliness. After the readings, children will be treated to a physically-distant craft activity and packaged treats to take home.
Each attendee will also receive a coupon good for a future visit to Blacklight Mini Golf or Mirror Maze--American Dream’s newest attraction, a mind-bending galaxy of corridors with twists and turns around every corner.

Join the eaport Staff on a 90-minute walk through the Tuckerton Seaport Nature Trail and learn more about Eastern Screech Owls, Barred Owls & Great Horned Owls that call the Pinelands and the Jersey Shore woodlands home. Groups will be limited to twelve people and social distancing is a must. Each group will meet 10 minutes prior to tour. Each tour departs from the Lighthouse. Flashlights and masks are required. Owl sightings are not guaranteed. Tours are rain or shine, but will reschedule due to heavy snow or winds.

Danny Noonan (Michael O'Keefe), a teen down on his luck, works as a caddy at the snob-infested Bushwood Country Club to raise money for his college education. In an attempt to gain votes for a college scholarship reserved for caddies, Noonan volunteers to caddy for a prominent and influential club member (Ted Knight). Meanwhile, Danny struggles to prepare for the high pressure Caddy Day golf tournament while absorbing New Age advice from wealthy golf guru Ty Webb (Chevy Chase).

A great Spring event is the annual Cherry Blossom Festival in Branch Brook Park,
Newark, NJ. It is held in April. The Dates and information can be found on their Website
This is the largest Cherry Blossom display in the United States with the National Cherry Blossom display in Washington, DC being the largest and usually occurs about two weeks earlier. This blossoms peak in the second and third weeks of April. There are over 3,000 cherry trees. The blossoms can be best enjoyed by a casual walk or picnic in the park. This is a week long festival with many events including a 10K race, trolley bus tours, and family Day with Japanese cultural activities, including demonstrations on origami, bonsai, ikebana, and martial arts.
