Cherry Blossom Festival

The second largest Cherry Blossom display in the United States with the National Cherry Blossom display in Washington, DC being the largest and usually occurs about two weeks earlier. This blossoms peak in the second and third weeks of April. There are over 3,000 cherry trees. The blossoms can be best enjoyed by a casual walk or picnic in the park. This is a week long festival with many events including a 10K race, trolley bus tours, and family Day with Japanese cultural activities, including demonstrations on origami, bonsai,
ikebana, and martial arts.

Celebrate the return of Spring with a fun themed train ride through northern New Jersey! The Easter Bunny and helpers will be on board greeting everyone during the 45-minute round-trip ride along the Morristown & Erie Railway's historic Whippanong Trail. You'll enjoy the comfort of heated passenger coaches as the Easter Bunny's helpers hand out holiday treats for the kids. You are welcome to bring your camera to take photos en route (free of charge), but be aware that the Easter Bunny has to visit many children
and can't stay long with each person.

Admission costs $5 - $10 online and $7 - $12 at the door
This annual event features over 50 acres of vibrant flowers. Visitors can stroll the grounds and enjoy the beautiful purple, pink, orange, and yellow fields of tulips.
The tulips will be in blossom for about four weeks, or as long as the weather cooperates.
The farm will also have a Hollandwood Theatre, restored barns, a museum with tulip-harvesting equipment imported from Holland, a gift shop, hayrides, horse and buggy rides, and a local bakery. On weekends, there will be food trucks and face paintings.

New Jersey's largest Earth Day celebration! Celebrate Earth Day's 29th year. All will enjoy attending the litter free and carbon neutral event filled with non-stop entertainment as well as the HCIA's 5K Race/Walk accompanied by the Kid's Fun Run. There are over 15,000 eggs on the village green. Hunts will take place every 15 minutes between 11:30 am and 4pm. Children will be grouped according to age, into the following categories: 0-1 (with an assisting adult), 2-3 (with an assisting adult), 4-5 (kids only, no adult assistance), 6-7 (kids only, no adult assistance), and 8-10 (kids only, no adult
assistance). Each child can hunt for 6 eggs total. No more than 6 eggs will be allowed per child. Please realize the plastic eggs contain small toys not suitable for small children.

We are planning a family reunion for about 75 people at either an indoor or outdoor facility, We want to keep costs down and were thinking of doing it at a barn or farm, where we can bring in our own food, alcohol and music. Can you recommend some places?

If you plan to uses a caterer they may need to submit proof of license & insurance. Some venues will allow you to bring in your own homemade foods When you are permitted to provide your own
alcohol, you may be required to use a Licensed Bartender. Insurance --- You made need to obtain special events insurance. You can obtain a rider on your homeowners or renters insurance. You may also obtain a stand-alone policy from your insurance agent. If your caterer is serving alcoholic beverages, the caterer may need to submit a Certificate of Liability Insurance naming the venue as additional insured.
