The event’s theme for 2014 is “Enjoy all things Pumpkin” and the festival will showcase a giant pumpkin pyramid, Big Pumpkin Weigh-Off, pumpkin wine sampling, pumpkin foods, dessert contest, pumpkin themed pageant, pumpkin contests and so much more. Thousands of families from many states show up year after year in
support of the South Jersey Pumpkin Show. The 2014 show will feature the reading of Sleepy Hollow legend and the arrival of the Headless Horsemen on Friday & Saturday evenings.
The giant pumpkin pyramid will be showcased as the center piece of the festival and kids under ten will enjoy a free, friendly boo barn, pumpkins, craft making and free pumpkins.

Celebrating the Annual Columbus Day Parade and Italian Heritage Festival. A fun filled weekend of food, friends, and Italian Culture. This years' special attraction is "Lo Zampognaro.Lagaro" a folkloric group of singers and dancers from the northern town of Pomarolo, Trento. Pomarolo, Trento is a small town in the region of Trentino

Answer: In New Jersey, fall colors tend to peak around Columbus Day Weekend and with the weather still pleasant, this is the best time to get out and enjoy the fall. To experience fall with all it's beautiful colors, rolling hills and mountains, I would suggest an overnight trip to either Hunterdon County, Warren County or Sussex County.
