Popular November Events and Happenings
November is the time for elections, the end of fall, and the beginning of the holiday season starting with Thanksgiving and tree lighting celebrations.

For those who enjoy the fall and hate to see it end, you need to quickly get out to the skylands for a weekend getaway before the leaves disappear. And for those that are planning to eat out at a restaurant for Thanksgiving, make your reservations now.

Here is a capsule of some of the popular events that are happening in November.


A Cape May Christmas Tour

See Cape May's Historic District decked out for the season from a heated trolley, then take a guided tour of the Emlen Physick Estate, an authentically decorated Victorian mansion, and finally tour the 2010 Cape May Designer Show House dressed up for the holidays. Fall Fine Art and Crafts at the Westfield Armory

Approximately 120 exhibitors will be accepted. The show hours are 10am-6pm on Saturday and 10am-5pm on Sunday. These two new events will feature 120 contemporary fine artists, photographers and crafts people. To enhance the event, all booths will have backdrops and draping, and aisles will have carpet runners


Thanksgiving in the Country - House Tour
Saturday Nov 6 & Sunday Nov 7, 2010

The homes displayed on the Tour are nestled in a region of elegantly restored colonial homes, quaint shops and working farm. Some date from the 18th & 19th century. It is a two day event and includes house tours, a luncheon, crafting demonstrations and a complimentary tea.

The Olde Mill Inn-Grain House Restaurant

The Grain House was the original "Inn" from 1930 to 1977 with its historical theme and colonial charm surrounded in rich woods, striking hearths and richly beamed ceilings. Thanksgiving Dinner is served from Noon to 6:30pm. Child Friendly.
