Popular October Events and Happenings
October is the peak of the fall season and with it the beauty of fall foliage, weekend getaways to the NJ Skylands, pumpkin picking, Halloween fright shows, and Columbus Day celebrations.
For those that enjoy the shore, this is your last chance for pleasant beach weather and water temperature, especially in the Southern Jersey shore. And best of all, the crowds are down, and the motel/hotel prices are lower.

Chowderfest Weekend

Twenty restaurants create 4,000 gallons of New England and Manhattan Clam Chowder and vie for the title of Chowder Grand Champion Chowder contest is on Sunday with unlimited chowder tasting! Live music, children's entertainment, and a food court are all part of the event. Rain or Shine event held under the "Big Top" tents.
